The heavy monsoon rains in Kerala has flooded the Periyar river and the flood has its own impact in Aluva too. Most of the places are now under the water level in Aluva as the river Periyar is overflowing with the flood water.
The water has also entered the famous Aluva Shiva Temple and the Periyar flood water has covered almost half of this temple. Here are some pictures of the Aluva Shiva Temple being immersed in the flood water from Periyar river.
